The Secret of Staying Young Revealed!

DO YOU KNOW THE SECRET FORMULA FOR STAYING YOUNG AND NEVER GROWING OLD? Ponce de Leon, the epitome of man’s quest for eternal youth, spent his lifetime looking for the fabled fountain of youth, but later became a frustrated seeker. Today, luck is on your side, for the secret can now be revealed. In the following paragraphs, I am to share this secret with you.

Violate nature’s laws, and you are guaranteed eternal youth.

To keep being young you must violate the laws of nature. Nature is archenemy of old age, a staunch ally of youth. It deprives you of the pleasures that life has to offer, because it demands from you some form of self-discipline. Ignore nature, and you’ll enjoy life and forever be young.

Indulge in sensual pleasure-seeking activities. Wallow in gluttonous gratification, preferring delectable but devitalized artificial foods to natural ones. Revel in overnight drinking sprees and heavy smoking, spending sleepless hours to savor every moment of the unholy hours. During the day, pamper yourself in effortless physical inactivity, luxuriously basking under the sun of indolence. Delight in the stimulations of alcohol, and drugs. In short, abuse your body to the max. That is a sure-fire way of staying young forever. Guaranteed!

Eventually, your body will collapse to the ground, lifeless. You are dead young. Congratulations! Now, you will never grow old.

Add life to your years, years to your life.

These epicureans may argue “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you die.” Life is short, so enjoy it to the fullest. But these pleasures are not without their accompanying pains of some sort. After enjoyment of fleeting, momentary pleasures, their bodies succumb to malaise, distress, and affliction due to this self-inflicted physical abuse. They do not know and enjoy the true physical pleasures that arise from a sense of well-being. Their bodies are taxed beyond its limit, and die prematurely.

True bodily pleasures come from good health that results from clean living. It is the reward for obeying nature’s disciplinary norms. The reward is vibrant energetic health of body and mind that produces true pleasures and happiness. When you enjoy this reward, you add life to your years and years to your life.

Live long, die young.

To add years to your life is to live long and reach a ripe old age. Never be afraid of growing old. Old age is a gift that not everybody is privileged to have. Those who are gifted with old age are those who are reaping the rewards for following nature’s laws.

For these people, old age is merely a chronological measure of their lives on earth – an insignificant statistic in the calendar. The term old age does not apply to their bodies and minds. For following nature’s laws in handling their lives, they keep their youthfulness. They remain young in body, mind, and spirit. That’s what really keeps them young.

The adage “A sound mind in a sound body” explains why with a healthy body, your heart and your mind are predisposed to positive healthy thoughts and feelings. With a healthy body and a healthy mind and spirit, chronological age becomes irrelevant. Part of each man’s dream should be, to borrow the words of General Douglas McArthur, “to live long and die young.”

You may get old in years, but remain young in body, mind, and spirit.

People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope as old as your despair. In the central place of every heart there is a recording chamber. So long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer and courage, so long are you young. When your heart is covered with the snows of pessimism and the ice of cynicism, then, and then only, are you grown old. And then, indeed as the ballad says, you just fade away.

– General Douglas McArthur
