Nuggets of Wisdom 81 – 100
Nugget of Wisdom # 81
True beauty is not a trait of your body. It is a light in your heart – how you feel inside you. It radiates through your personality, and sanctifies others by how you make them feel. Your most beautiful trait, a sincere smile, is a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. It dissipates dark clouds of pessimism in others. You glow in beauty, when you put others before yourself and make them feel loved and valued.
Nugget of Wisdom # 82
You are wealthy if you have an abundance of things you value that bring you joy. Measure your wealth by counting your many blessings, be they spiritual or material. When you purposely pursue spiritual wealth, material prosperity follows you like a shadow. Obtain wealth through wisdom, relationships, and business. Envision yourself wealthy in every area of your life, and work toward that reality.
Nugget of Wisdom # 83
Where you focus your mind is the direction you tend to go. Have a goal in mind, for goals help focus your energy. If you focus on a goal, you become an unstoppable machine on a mission to succeed. If you don’t, you are never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants. To help you focus, write down your goal. You cannot write on one thought, and think of another. Focus is the way to success
Nugget of Wisdom # 84
Forgiving sets you free from the bondage of past hurts, and puts you in control of your emotions. Only the strong can forgive. If you are strong, you can renounce your right to hurt someone who has hurt you. It is in fact easier to forgive than to harbor grudge and hatred. For, when you forgive, you choose love. To the extent that you love someone, you forgive him. For your own sake, learn to forgive.
Nugget of Wisdom # 85
When you stop trying to figure out life on your own and relinquish its control to your Creator, you start to experience interior peace and freedom. This happens whenever you pray. When you pray, expect not that He will hear you. Expect that you will hear Him. Expect not that prayer changes things to your liking. Expect that it changes YOU. Then, you change things. Let prayer be part of your everyday life
Nugget of Wisdom # 86
Be a light in this world – a glow that illumines, not a glare that obscures. Turn on that gentle beam that radiates from your soul. Let it guide your way in life and uplift others from the pit of their sorrows. Be a light of courage that outshines the dark clouds of fear. Be a light of love that smothers hate and of optimism that dispels despair. If you cannot, at least be a mirror that reflects it.
Nugget of Wisdom # 87
Striving for perfection is highly demoralizing, and only brings stress and disappointment. It is because you can never attain perfection. But you can draw closer to it, if you set your mind at striving for excellence. It consists of doing little ordinary things extraordinarily well. If you develop the attitude and habit of excellence in little ordinary things, you achieve excellence in bigger things.
Nugget of Wisdom # 88
Maintaining balance in all you do allows you to fulfill your desires in every area of your life. Do this by handling things in moderation. Failing to moderate your passion for one area restrains you from pursuing your passions for the other areas. Focus not in one area of your life only. Give equal importance to each. Allot time for work, family, and leisure. You will feel accomplished and fulfilled.
Nugget of Wisdom # 89
One little push is all what is needed to generate forward momentum at work. The best strategy is to start and quickly finish easy tasks first. Once under way, it progressively gains energy and speed, like a snowball rolling down a mountain, as one task gets done after another. The resulting self-confidence you gain can help you surmount obstacles along the way. Nothing can stop you now from achieving success.
Nugget of Wisdom # 90
If you do not change in the direction of growth, you become stale, obsolete, and irrelevant. Change enhances you, and allows you to turn into the better kind of person you have always wanted to be. Part of you becomes fresh and new. A new image of you emerges. Welcome the freshness of change. Accept it, even if forced upon you by circumstances. Embrace changes that will cause the new you to sparkle.
Nugget of Wisdom # 91
The secret of happiness? It is growth. Growth in every area of your life. You are not really living, if you don’t grow. You don’t grow, if you don’t change. Not all changes result to growth, though. So, welcome changes as opportunities to grow. If you allow it, every change can add to your inner strength. What area of your life would you like to grow in? What changes can you make to grow in this area?
Nugget of Wisdom # 92
When you have a large project to complete, the hardest part is often getting started. If you break it down into a series of small tasks, each task would be easier to accomplish. Without delay, choose the easiest and quickest to start with. This will keep you focused, and quickly build up your momentum. The energy generated will help you overcome obstacles, and push you forward to its final completion.
Nugget of Wisdom # 93
Every small step you take brings about positive changes that help you be where you want to be. Each builds upon the ones before it. So, abandon the idea that you can change overnight. Taking steps too large for you only leads to unnecessary stress and worry. And you may miss on one important small step. Just make sure you handle each small step well. Be patient. Everything comes in its own sweet time.
Nugget of Wisdom # 94
Life brings new opportunities every day. You either grab them, or let them pass you by. Often disguised as difficulties, they are difficult to recognize. Keep your mind attuned to them, in order to increase perception to be able to recognize them. The secret to success in life is to prepare yourself and be ready for them, when they arrive. Without opportunities, your talents are of little or no use.
Nugget of Wisdom # 95
Stay within the limits of your ability, and perform well within it. You achieve more by doing so. If you do, you choose success. Otherwise, you set yourself for failure. However, you can choose to stretch your limits little by little by challenging yourself to try new things. But avoid wasting time and energy with the impossible. So, abandon the idea that you can always do more if you only try harder.
Nugget of Wisdom # 96
The happiest person is one who has total control of himself. For, he who has no control of self is controlled by self. The secret is in the control of thoughts. When you control your thoughts, you control your emotions. If you cannot control your thoughts, control your words. Repetition of words through affirmation replaces negative thoughts with positive ones, and puts you in total control of self
Nugget of Wisdom # 97
Embarking on new adventures may mean going outside your comfort zone. It could be scary, but it also brings great rewards. New adventures expand your limits, and bring excitement to your life. You learn new skills, meet new friends, discover new talents, and ignite new passions. Do something you have never done before. Anything different can be an adventure. You can find them even in your own backyard.
Nugget of Wisdom # 98
Staying inside your comfort zone confines you to a very narrow spectrum of experience. Outside, life can throw unexpected challenges at you, but a whole new world of possibilities is opened. You cannot become what you want to be by remaining what you are. If you stay inside your comfort zone, you don’t go any further, and your life loses its meaning. Retreat into less or grow into more? It‘s your choice.
Nugget of Wisdom # 99
Inspiring other people’s confidence that you can be depended upon when you make a promise induces greater trust and respect for you. It strengthens your relationship and forges stronger bonds with them. When you make a promise, you must have a strong sense of commitment to your word. Otherwise, your word degenerates into mere loud-sounding nothing. If you cannot commit to your promise, don’t make any.
Nugget of Wisdom # 100
You are beautiful. Your Creator made you in His own image. He is Beautiful …and so, you too are. If your body is ugly, it is not you, but your body that is ugly. You are not your body. You are spirit, like your Creator. If you uglify yourself through evil deeds, you are like a pearl covered with mud. Your true inherent beauty lies hidden under. You are beautiful. No circumstance can ever change that.
